Sometimes when trying to plan out an advertisement, you have to indulge the little kind inside you that just wants to destroy, and by god that's what we did here. Fed up with how poor the quality of some of our lower-end competitors, we set out to really show why spending not very much extra could significantly improve the quality of a product (I think the difference between our price and theirs at the time of filming was only $30 or $40?). Our creative director might have gotten a little too into the carnage, building the flamethrower at the end out of a propane tank and nozzle while two of us stood 10 feet away with fire extinguishers. Still, I think it ended up as a pretty effective spot.
