Our degree program at Missouri State University was structured so that the final project of your junior year was devoted to making a proof of concept trailer for the thesis project you had pitched for your senior year. Myself and Christopher Mitchell had already put together a script treatment for our idea, Internalize, and took the opportunity to do as much as we could in 2 weeks time. We wanted our trailer to feel as cinematic as possible, shooting it with anamorphic lenses for an ultrawide aspect ratio and going so far as to make our own breakaway glass shards for the opening shot. I wish I had a little more time for the VFX (especially that shot at the end, woof), but love how the green sky and title card near the end of the trailer turned out.
