Stages is a visual album that was worked on by most of the audio specialists in my degree program whose main hook (other than good music, obvs) was that each song's segment would have a different director, DP, and editor. Christopher Mitchell and I, while working on our own thesis project Internalize, took a little production break to shoot and edit this segment for the song 'ooOOoo.' This was such a breath of fresh air for me as I was elbow-deep in Internalize's VFX at the time (not to mention it was the beginning of the pandemic), and it knocked me out of a bit of a funk. I adore working on abstract and quick pieces like this, plus the old-school analog and trippier effects were a blast to put together. In the full short film, I also played drums on the song 'Sugarcubes,' taking a page from early Pink Floyd.
