Writing, Directing, Shooting, Editing, Audio Mixing

In TV Production class at Missouri State, our final was to put together a live-to-tape show of whatever we could think of, as long as we could pull it off. Our entire class worked together to create this variety show/SNL spoof, complete with news updates, a cooking segment, live musical performance, and commercial parodies! This was such a different working experience compared to what I was used to, each camera cut or graphic element having to happen on the fly, but it was a blast to work with the vintage equipment that the campus had on hand. It would have been better to use the modern equipment they revamped the studio with the following year, but you win some, you lose some. My roles for this were writing, producing, directing a portion of the live segments, making a couple of the commercials (writing/directing/filming/editing), putting together all the graphics packages, and running the Chyron unit for a majority of the recording.
